Meet Our Owner, Justin Shoemaker
Real Good Beginnings
Real Good Roofing traces its roots back three generations, starting with Justin Shoemaker’s grandfather, who established a successful roofing company in Ohio. Justin’s father followed suit, starting his own business in Kentucky. As a young boy, Justin was immersed in the family trade, spending summers as a “gopher” on job sites, fetching tools and cleaning up. After honing his skills and knowledge, Justin moved to Florida to work with his father in the storm-chasing roofing business. It was a wild ride, filled with the chaos and opportunities of hurricane seasons. However, fate brought Justin back to Georgia, where he decided to plant roots and build something of his own.
In April 2021, Real Good Roofing was born, not just as a roofing company but as a testament to Justin’s family’s legacy and his passion for the craft. The name, inspired by the idea of providing not just a good roof but a “real good” one, reflects his vision of quality, reliability, and community trust. Honoring the third-generation family business, Justin aims to blend traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to deliver top-notch roofing solutions.
Justin emphasizes core values of customer-centricity, integrity, and excellence, using innovative tools like FAA-certified drones for inspections and real-time project updates. The company’s mascot, Rufus, symbolizes their friendly, approachable nature, ensuring that the roofing process is not only professional but also enjoyable for their clients.
